4 men, 1 woman… This was Zuhal Soydaşlı’s story. She was the mother of three sons and the wife of a man who could not grow up. In short; she was alone in her own house.

A few months after giving birth to her last son, Zuhal had to retire from her job at the Ministry of National Education. A few days later, she learned that her husband Hasan Soydaşlı was cheating on her.

Zuhal had no choice but to work for a home where she could fit in with her sons. Zuhal was the city itself where she was trying to survive with her children. It was Ankara. It had no sea, no Bosphorus. And it would never have one. But it was resistance, it was a struggle. Because being a mother was a struggle in itself, “alone”.
